Dear Kiyoaki,

The 111th Congress has its work cut out for it in its first 100 days.

Make sure your voice is heard when they’re setting the agenda.

Send them a welcome message today!

It’s the start of a new Congress – and a new opportunity for real and lasting solutions for older Americans.

Now is the time to lay out our priorities for the first 100 days of this session.

Click here to welcome the 111th Congress and ask them to get to work on finding common-sense solutions for older Americans.

Why are the first 100 days so important?  With so many struggling just to keep their homes, pay their bills and save for retirement, Washington needs to move fast.  Rightfully, at the top of their agenda is the economic crisis, but we will need Congress to start work on many other important issues.  And you need to hold them accountable.

AARP is planning to work throughout the year with Congress and the new Administration to bring needed change, but it’s critical that we help set the tone now.  Join us in asking the new Congress to kick off the new session by making progress in their first 100 days to:

You are part of a powerful movement that won’t settle for anything less than progress on issues that matter most.  We’re asking you to take action today because when AARP activists reach out, Congress listens.

Let Congress know we have high hopes for what they can accomplish, and with so much on the line we can’t afford to be let down by partisan gridlock.

From health care to housing to economic security -- together, we can ensure that Congress acts quickly and decisively to find the right solutions.

Sincerely,

Barry Jackson
